Youth. Or not.

Youth, Paolo Sorrentino’s lavishly photographed follow up to La Grande Bellezza, was certainly not the best example of good screenwriting we have seen at MovieNight. In fact, it was quite laughable at times, BUT (and as my father used to like saying, “It’s a very big ‘but'”), it was stunning to look at throughout, and… there were moments of magicĀ  and a few great laughs. Michael Caine as a composer? I don’t think so. He will always be Jack Carter to me. Bang. Bang.

Still… this was a wonderful MovieNight!
