I betrayed Sebastian Schipper’s big achievement this week, when I had to interrupt our screening of Victoria, a two hour and eighteen minute, one-take feat of technical wonder. My video player reverted to the wrong HDMI setting, rendering the dialogue track very quiet. Aaaaargh. I’ll have a check-list next time. Still… the movie thrilled our Friday night audience. Mission accomplished!
